Show in diary 1 mention

A friend of Paul Yssayevitch (see #Paul Yssayevitch) in Vilna (Wilna). On 1876-08-04 (064.0413), as Marie travels to Russia and her train passes Wilna in the night, she explains that Paul, who is in Petersburg with the governor-general Albedinsky, «avait chargé son ami le comte Mouravieff de venir à ma rencontre. Mais ce comte a été dérangé en vain, attendu que nous avons passé Wilna cette nuit à trois heures et je dormais comme une bienheureuse.» The Mon Journal t.8 index has «Mouravieff (comte): 346», the only entry.

Identity uncertain

We are not sure who this is. The Muravyov family were prominent in the north-western provinces (the former governor-general of Vilna, Count Mikhail Muravyov-Vilensky, died in 1866 and cannot be meant; en.wikipedia «Mikhail Nikolayevich Muravyov-Vilensky»), but the diary gives no first name and he appears nowhere else. If you can identify this person, we would be glad to hear from you.
