"Le célèbre somnambule Alexis", a Paris clairvoyant who works by psychometry (holding objects or the clients' hands) and by now gives mostly health consultations, with a doctor at his side. Marie, her aunt, Mme de Mouzay and Mme de Mertens consult him in July 1876, and she keeps him as the one trustworthy medium. Not the grand duke Alexis, nor Prince Alexis Karageorgevitch (#Alexis).
