Bojidar has passed his last examination and, having his law degree, by rights goes off to end his evening, as is his due, licentiously — elsewhere. M. and Mme Gaillard stay until one o'clock, Gaillard holding forth on the treaties with the railway companies. He does not yet get himself listened to in the Chamber and compensates where he can.
