I have done my portrait this afternoon — life-size to the waist, with the palette. In black with the white collar and jabot without which it is never quite me. It is very alive. The head is in shadow and the white collar blazes...
J'ai fait mon portrait cet après-midi grandeur nature jusqu'aux hanches, avec la palette. En noir avec le col et le jabot blanc sans lesquels ce n'est jamais bien moi. C'est très vivant. La tête est dans l'ombre et le col blanc éclate...
