Little Etincelle, Mlle de Peyronney, comes for luncheon — we spend the whole afternoon together and I sketch her portrait. She is as sweet as can be.
La petite Etincelle, Mlle de Peyronney vient dejeuner avec nous, nous passons toute l'apres-midi ensemble et j'esquise son portrait. Elle est gentille au possible.
Then there is a call from the Baronne and Mlle Legoux. The mother is a great elegant, very beautiful.
Apres il y a la visite de Mme la baronne et Mlle Legoux. La mere est une grande elegante, tres belle..
And then we go to the Kanchines' with the Gavinis, the Randouins, etc. I am well dressed — there is no one there but old men who shower me with incense.
Et puis nous allons chez les Kanchine avec les Gavini, les Randouin etc. Je suis bien habillee, il n'y a que des vieux qui m'encensent.
