I have exactly thirty days to finish my painting, and two have already passed — that makes thirty-two. I hope to be done in seventeen or eighteen days. Then I shall do another piece, something charming that I have in mind.
J'ai trente jours juste pour faire mon tableau, et deux qui sont passes, ca fait trente-deux. J'espere avoir fini dans dix-sept ou dix-huit jours. Alors je ferai une autre machine, quelque chose de gentil que je sais.
And next October I am going to Palestine.
Et en octobre prochain je m'en vais en Palestine.
Tony came to see the painting — he thinks it very, very good. But that means nothing as long as it is not finished.
