I had written to the President of the Union of Women Painters and Sculptors; she replied that she would be at home today, and we go. It is the sculptor Mme Bertaux — she has medals... But for this year’s exhibition it is too late... In any case she is a very agreeable woman; one must pay five hundred francs.
J’avais écrit à la Présidente de l’association des femmes peintres et sculpteurs, elle a répondu qu’elle serait chez elle aujourd’hui et nous y allons. C’est le sculpteur Mme Bertaux, a eu des médailles... Mais pour l’exposition de cette année c’est trop tard... Au reste c’est une femme fort aimable, il faudra verser cinq cents francs.
