Wodzinsky and Kiki to lunch. Sitting missed; the Poitrineaus arrive. They are stupid and ridiculous because the daughter thinks she is going to marry Kiki.
Another sensational evening. Patti in La Traviata. We have a subscription for Tuesdays. Besides, there are only two evenings a week. The boxes at the Gaite are very good for dresses; one is seen delightfully. Mme Gavini, Dina, Gavini, and I. Then visitors: M. Behir, Zurlo, Soutzo, Fromessant, etc., etc.
We make an impression. I am low-cut, in a ribbed silk dress, pointed bodice. But no government as yesterday; I like to be ogled by those people. As for the others, I pay no attention to them; besides, now I am hardened; they look at me and I do not see it.
As for the ravishing singer, the adorable actress, there is nothing to say. She is perfect. Always thanks to the Gavinis, we are with the Duchess of Malakoff and her daughter at the exit. It makes a good impression for the masses.
This Soutzo looks in love. "She treats him!" cries Mme Gavini, "but that is how one must treat them."
