I went to see the competition entries for the Prix de Rome at the École with Mademoiselle de Villevielle, a young lady who comes to the atelier but is very well-bred¹ and belongs by family to the great world of the Faubourg Saint-Germain. Her mother is a marquise, but poor, unfortunately.
