A fine horseback ride. In the evening, at the Opera. On the way there, I saw the Duke of Hamilton's carriage. Ah! if only he could come to the house — I am certain I would be beautiful that day!
Bonne promenade à cheval. Le soir, à l'Opéra. J'ai vu en y allant la voiture du duc de Hamilton. Ah ! si seulement il pouvait venir à la maison, je suis sûre que je serais belle ce jour- là !
