On 17 June 1874 the family is building and furnishing in Nice: «Nous étions chez Roy pour la grille, il nous soumettra des dessins et des projets. Puisque l'argent arrive, tout le reste marche; aujourd'hui ou demain arrivent les plans des chambres qu'a demandés Duval; la grille est presque commandée» (020.0324). Roy is therefore the craftsman who is to design and make the iron gate (grille); Duval has asked for the room plans (his role is not stated).
