Malézieux

Paul Malézieux and his wife, members of Gambart's circle at Spa in summer 1874 (Mon Journal t.4 index: «Malézieux (M.) Paul» and «Malézieux (Mme)»). Malézieux sings comic songs («chansonnettes») at Gambart's, in duets with Body (021.0391, 021.0396: «Causons de nos amours passées»; 022.0288), and the couple live in Gambart's Château d'Alsa itself (021.0396). They come with Gambart's suite, Kirsh, Mme Godefroy and Bouhy (021.0442, 021.0547, 022.0066). Mme Malézieux has the honour of sitting by the princess (022.0291). In November 1874 Marie quotes his refrain: «Il pleut ! Saprelotte je grelotte» (027.0095). Marie dislikes the company: «Société choisie» (021.0442).
