Brocheton (family)

Overview

M. and Mme Brocheton, Paris bankers of the Spanish-speaking set whom Marie meets in spring 1880: «Monsieur et Madame Brocheton (des banquiers fort riches et très répandus; ils nous ont fait une visite l'autre jour)» (087.0865). • 17 April 1880. They come to the Bashkirtseffs' evening with a young Spanish diplomat, M. Heredia, M. de Rojas (the Venezuelan minister) and others; Mme Brocheton and Marie «avons improvisé des bêtises au piano sur un libretto de M. Hérédia» (087.0865, 087.0868).
• 18 April 1880. Marie calls on the Brochetons after the Gavinis (087.0873).
• 24 April 1880. New faces at her Saturday: M. and Mme Brocheton, Soubaloff, baronne Reille, the rich Cuban Moliner, Moraës and a minister of Chile or Uruguay (088.0003).
• 30 May 1880. At the Grand Prix promenade: «Les Brocheton, Moliner, Moraës, Miranda, d'autres Espagnols» (088.0420).
