Overview

Two brothers Turquan in the Gavini circle, 1878–1884, whom Marie rarely tells apart.

  • M. Turquan, «rédacteur au Ministère de l'intérieur et officier de réserve du 11ème régiment d'artillerie que j'ai rencontré chez les Gavini» (080.0489, 8 June 1878), «l'aimable officier du billet de Versailles» (081.0004) and «mon sauveur Turquan», who twice gets her tickets for the Chamber at Versailles (083.0091, 083.0110). A regular caller in 1879–1881.
  • His brother, «Turquan-deux», who gets her into the diplomatic gallery (Mon Journal t.13 index «Turquan (M., frère du précédent) : 157, 258, 301»).
  • «Turquan (Joseph, celui qui est au Sénat)», who presents his young wife in December 1883 (102.0497; t.16 index «Turquan (Joseph)», «Turquan (Mme)»): one of the two, which one is not stated.

The t.12, t.13 and t.14 indexes list only «Turquan (M.)» (and the brother); no first name for the ministry man is given. Not identified further (0.5 that Joseph is the brother, the Senate post being distinct from the Interior ministry).
