Overview

A Russian man referred to as "M. Tchernikoff" in the Nice social circle of June 1873. He appears in two distinct roles: as a social visitor to the Bashkirtseff household, and as the physician traveling with the Berlikoff family when they depart for Russia on June 15, 1873. Marie notes he and the family are known to the Bashkirtseffs, which is why Solominka Markevitch (whose health was uncertain) is placed under his care for the journey.
