Lord Falkner

An English peer of the Nice season, husband of Lady Falkner/Folkner (LADY_FOLKNER). Marie sees him near the London House in January 1874 (015.0020), and on 26 May 1874, in the Bois, blushes at the sight of him: «Ah ! si, lord Falkner. J'ai rougi en le voyant» (019.0369). On 13 June 1874 she mentions the men's costumes he wore at Baden-Baden (020.0239), as a model for the dress she fancies. Mon Journal t.3 index: «Falkner (lord), 7, 21, 204, 232». Not identified further; no source found.

Spelled «Folkner» in April 1875 (merged entry LORD_FOLKNER): at the Nice theatre «arrivèrent lord et lady Folkner, lord Loftus et encore un» (031.0232); on the promenade, «lady Folkner, son mari et Loftus» (031.0249). The Mon Journal indexes spell the name Falkner (t.2–t.3) and Folkner (t.5).
