Jeanne l'Indienne
Également connu sous : Jeanne l'Indienne
Overview
A young woman who reminds Marie of Baden-Baden («elle m'a rappelé Bade»), met again in Paris in May 1874. «l'Indienne» is Marie's nickname for her; it may point to an origin in India or the Indies, but the diary does not say.

Identity uncertain
We are not sure who this is. Mon Journal t.3 indexes her only as «Jeanne l'Indienne, 205-206, 228», with no surname, and no Jeanne appears in the diary before May 1874 (carnets 001–018 checked). If you can identify her, we would be glad to hear from you.
