A great many people came to us around nine — nearly every Russian in Nice at the moment. It was a sort of children's gathering; they sang and played in the garden. I stayed the whole time in my room remaking a bodice. I cannot succeed — decidedly, sewing is not my calling.
Il nous est arrive beaucoup de monde vers neuf heures, presque tout ce qu'il y a de russe a Nice pour le moment. C'etait une espece de reunion d'enfants, ils ont chante et joue au jardin. Je restais tout le temps dans ma chambre a refaire un corsage, je ne puis y reussir, decidement coudre n'est pas mon metier.
